Washington. Fox News host could be new White House press secretary. US President Donald Trump has reportedly considered replacing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, raising the possibility of hiring a Fox News anchor as his next spokesperson.
Trump has mentioned Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle as a potential press secretary, US-based news outlets reported Saturday, citing White House officials as saying that he has grown disappointed with several of his top aides, particularly Spicer.
The New York Times reported that Trump has also become “increasingly dissatisfied” with the performance of his chief of staff Reince Priebus as well as communications director Michael Dubke.
reports point out that the American president is also mulling expanding the White House communications team and is looking at hiring producers from Fox News, a right-wing news network known for its subjective reporting on issues favored by the Republican Party.

reports of a possible staff shake-up in the White House come amid intensifying criticism of the Trump administration over its shifting accounts this week on the president’s reasoning to sack FBI Director James Comey.
senior White House officials and Vice President Mike Pence maintained that Trump fired Comey on the Justice Department’s recommendation, the president later dismissed that account, insisting that he made the decision alone and would have fired Comey regardless of the recommendation.
